Esther founded theater production house PIT Productions in 2012, which presented Putting It Together by Stephen Sondheim with a national tour in 41 Dutch theaters in the 2013/2014 theater season.

The cast consisted of Porgy Franssen, Paul Groot, Brigitte Heitzer, Matthias Quadekker and Esther herself. Accompanied by an orchestra, conducted by Jeroen Sleyfer and in a new translation by Jeremy Baker, the performance received many favorable reviews from home and abroad.

Her second production Into the Woods, also by Stephen Sondheim, visited all major theaters in the Netherlands and was the largest traveling musical in the 2016-2017 season.

With a star cast of 13 actors including Elise Schaap, Paul Groot, Brigitte Heitzer, René van Kooten and Wart Kamps and an orchestra of 15 musicians, this production also managed to reap full houses and rave reviews in which Esther's artistic vision in particular attracted attention.
